Your Input Needed! - Blogging (Post) Ideas

Every once in awhile just about everyone hits a wall conserving what to write about. It happens to me too. I'm dong fine now, but wanted to get some ideas for a new post I'm preparing to write. The post will be about blogging, or post ideas. I'm looking for your input. So what different types of post ideas can you think of? I will add some of your ideas to my new post. So please go ahead and brain storm! ;)

One of the first blogs I read was Tara's Eclectic Spaghetti. She has a thing where she picks a theme for just about every day of the month, and challenges people to write blog posts about it. It is a good source for ideas sometimes.

Click here for her ideas for February.

Go for the 'ing' idea and make it a meme. My problem is I am never short of ideas just short of the oomph to make it happen. All those things shoul dspring off some other ideas as well!!

I'm with Lilly ... there are a million things to post about.

Most people that get stuck are posting about what they are doing and thinking. Reach out to the OTHER areas.

1. write a short story
2. to a news pice with your own personal spin
3. meme
4. Ask someone to send you questions
5. Do a photo themed post. You can find 10 billion images on the net.
6. write on a topic you know a LOT about
7. Re-live an old memory from the past
8. do a humor piece ... things you find funny from the week
9. Do a review of a movie, show, or blog
10. Just start typing. Many times I have no idea what will come out, but just start typing!!

Yes this was a gold mine of ideas! Not sure what I can add except that I like what one blogger I go to does. He asks the same interesting question to individuals with a wide variety of thought streams. They send him their answers and he formats them into a single post. I like that once in awhile. As well, You rarely write about your living experiences...I find that therapeutic! In any case, writers block rarely lasts too long.

Things have gotten so serious of late, I would love a little humor ... I could use a good laugh.

I like a really mixed bag. Maybe that shows on my blog :O) Little snippets of light hearted stuff, peppered with some more serious items is good for me also.

The best writing is just from the heart...or the gut. It's amazing how many times I just write about something that crosses my mind and people can relate to it.

REAL LIFE is best...and funny...yes, we all need funny. The economy sucks. We could use a mood brightener.

This picture is absolutely precious! And of course you can use that joke - you know the one. Don't even have to link unless you want to.

I love all the suggestions you've gotten here so far!

I often hit that brick wall. sometimes I think just taking a walk and looking out the windows are a good source of idea. Plus reading the news and giving your two cents worth over a story is always good :)

I don't see myself with a lack of things to write about on my WIXY blog, as it's a little bit of everything, I just try to stay away from political issues there.

Some have a tendency to copy and paste jokes they receive in emailings, but I try to be original, or at least have it be a real old joke that others may have forgotten.

Or if I'm trying to wax poetic, I sit at my keyboard and think of one line. Then I run along that idea and try to rhyme a lot. That would be over at my Whattville blog.

Oh, and thank you for your comments on my Seek Him First blog.
