Oh dear...I wish I hadn't seen this right after finishing dinner.

Ugh...I don't feel so good...lol

Hi Mike Golch,

I never had the whole plate but shared a bit. It was good.

Hi Giggle Pixie,

A tad to much for you? lol Personally I don't like my food to be mixed to that extent. But it's a popular meal in Rochester.

I have heard about this beast on the radio but never had the ..ummm... priveledge of seeing it up close and personal. I'm afraid I am the kind of person who still doesn't want her carrots to touch her potatoes so this would be something I might eat on a bet LOL

Oh my aching stomach that would send me strait to the watershed.

Um. What is that?

Hi twofinches,

I'm with you. I don't like my food so mixed up, but your in Rochester now and must try it at least once. LOL!

Hi Debo Hobo,

Watershed! lol I haven't heard that word in ages.

Hi meleah rebeccah,

If you click on the link you will see a list of foods. It's everything together. Not my style.

Awake In Rochester said...

meleah rebeccah it's...

"Any combination of home fries, macaroni salad, baked beans, or french fries topped by your choice of meats and dressed to your liking with spicy mustard, chopped onions, and Nick Tahou's signature hot sauce. Each plate comes with two thick slices of fresh italian bread and butter."

Hi LadyBanana,

Yes, this is huge even by American standards! When I tried some of it from a co-workers plate it looked even larger. I think they cut down on the size since. I think the plate is a bit smaller then it use to be.

when i first read the title garbage plate i thought you had done a plate of left overs for your dog or something rofl!

but looking at it, it sure does like appetising. i wouldnt know where to start first!

Hi Tina,

Yes, it does have an odd name. It would be much more appetizing to me if the food was separated. ;o)

That is utterly insane.

I'll send you over a plate! LOL!

Not my style either. I prefer my food NOT TOUCHING each other!

Hi meleah rebeccah,

When I was a kid and had strawberry shortcake, I had to have the strawberries in one bowel & shortcake in the other. ;o)

Lilly said...

Oh no I just couldn't......what was it like?

Awake In Rochester said...

Hi Lilly's Life,

I never had the whole plate. I don't like my food all mixed up like that. I did try some of it from a co-workers plate. It was good, not great. It's a popular restaurant/dish in Rochester.

Oh, no, you keep that to yourself!

Here in Philly, we have a pizza chain called Peace a Pizza. They specialize in unique pizzas, basically dumping a salad or entree on top of pizza. I have not tried it, but the mac & cheese and pasta pizza sell well...

I guess I'm a bit vanilla when it comes to food.
