Join me on Twitter! It's mini blogging. People blog in a few short sentences about their lives. Because it's so fast people tend to twitter often, about a variety of things, and almost the moment it happens. You can also IM each other, and add twitter to your cell phone. What a great way to network, get personal updates, and stay in touch! Twitter isn't perfect, it has a few bugs in it's system. So if you have problems just come back to Twitter later. It's well worth it!

As you might know, I am not fond of therapy. I have blogged about it. Also my cousin has seen some scary things. So I have my reservations concerning therapy.
Ever since my father's death I have had difficulty with anxiety, and depression. Well, the anxiety is nothing new, but the depression is circumstantial. It's been years since his death, and I'm not snapping out of it. My last bout with depression was very difficult. Possibly sever depression. I'm doing fairly good now, comparatively speaking. But I'm aware that I can plummet into depression soon again. In fact I might be going through something difficult soon, that might trigger the depression. I'm starting to think that I might need some therapy to snap me out of this cycle, even though I'm not crazy about the idea.
I want something effective. So do you know which therapy works? I'm sure that there have been some studies somewhere on it. And what medications work? I don't want to end up a gunny pig. Maybe I should avoid meds? So if you have some legitimate stats, or are a therapist, I would appreciate hearing from you. Please back up what your comment with evidence. Personal testimonies are good too. Thanks!
P.S. I don't know much about physiology, and don't know the terminology, so please keep this in mind when replying.

I have had my share of blog host woes this week. Here is an update, and if you have WordPress it you might be of particular interest to you.
First Google Reader is finally back online after disappearing for three days. I'm currently using My Yahoo as a backup reader in case this happens again.
I blamed Google Blogger for my recent problems, but I was wrong. My apologies to Blogger. To date I only had only one minor problem with Blogger, and that was during the set up. Turns out my difficulty is with WordPress. Ok, It was partly my fault. I admit it. I informed some of blogging friends of free coffee. I mentioned the brand name. I didn't realize that I would get in trouble for mentioning the brand name. I think that is how my website got listed by WordPress as SPAM. Yes, yours truly is now SPAM! UGH! Also WordPress has a new anti-spam plug in that may be prohibiting some legitimate bloggers from commenting. I guess in the wild world of blogging, just like life, that crap happens.
I ask that my WordPrss friends be patient with me as I try to get off the SPAM list. Meanwhile, look carefully at your spam folder, my comment might be in it.
I want to thank dcr blogs for putting is finger on the problem, and advising me. I hope that this mess will be over soon.
Have you had any problems with your blog host?
UPDATE: I am out of the dog house. My blog is no longer considered SPAM! I should have mentioned that it was Akismet, an anti-spam WordPress plugin, that labeled my blog as SPAM. If you have the same problem, you can go to Quick Online Tips for a way out of your dilemma, or contact Akismet directly. My thanks again to dcr blogs for providing those links, and for the advice.

For a brief time I had restricted comments. Since then I thought that I had adjusted the settings to allow all comments to resume, but I goofed. Milindoe aka Pat, informed me that I still had restricted comments on. Oops! And here I thought that you all had forsaken me because I wasn't getting many comments... (sniff, sniff). Alas, it is my error. It has been fixed! So please resume commenting. It's gotten to quiet here. Thank you Pat for letting me know about the problem!
I apologize to everyone, and am setting out some refreshments for you.
If anyone is still having problems with commenting, or any other problems, please e-mail me. I want to be a good hostess, and make you feel welcome.
I was tagged by Scott. This looks like a good one. I wonder if it works . . .
You will have to tag 5 other bloggers and just keep adding on to the list. (Do not replace, just keep on adding! Yes we hope it will be a long list!) ~ I tagged 7 ~

Two teens were fatally shot Tuesday evening in northeast Rochester, doubling the homicide rate this year. They were 14, and 15 years old. The teens' bodies were found on different streets (Wilkins St and Friederich Pk.), about a block apart. Both teens were in a known drug location when shot. They were killed at approximately the same time. Both shot in the upper body. Both died at Strong Hospital.

Influenza outbreak in Monroe County many turn out to be a harsh year.
This month has seen the highest number of flu cases in Monroe County so far this season, and local experts warn that the worst may not be over. "I don't think we've seen the peak yet," said Dr. John Treanor, a University of Rochester. "We went from a very mild year to a year, when all is said and done, (that) may turn out to be a harsh year." But while officials at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported last week that this year's flu shot might protect against only 40 percent of this year's strains, Treanor insist that it's no time to dismiss the vaccination.
Besides getting vaccinated, washing hands, disinfecting commonly used surfaces like desktops and telephones, eating healthy foods and getting enough rest and exercise can help protect against the flu.

Local Biggest Loser shares her story of weight loss.
Amy Zimmer was a contestant on NBC's "The Biggest Loser." She lost nearly 130 pounds and gained a new lease on life. "I was at 297 pounds." "We had trainers to encourage us but it was your own game,” Amy said. “You've got to get out of it what you put in to each day. We were working out four to five hours a day. We were responsible for all our food.”
Amy didn't win on the show, but she lost 126 pounds. Her huge achievement has landed her a job at the Rochester Athletic Club for women. Amy's new vision stands in the lobby of each RAC in town as an example of what can happen. She is now helping other women with their dreams of weight loss.

I saw this on the Today Show. They say that the sites are "legitimate resources worth taking advantage of." The following information is an outline from the Today Show article. The link is at the bottom of this post, specific websites are listed there.
1) The coupon sites alone can save you $50 a month, or more.
There are several sites listed. At one site coupons can be kept in your cell phone, so no paper is needed.
2) Cash in old cell phones and iPods, you can make another $50
On T.V. she said that the average old cell phone is worth $25.
3) Cash in gift cards.
This is great if you need cash on hand. She cashed in her $75 Sears card, and received $48.75.
4) Save at the pump. You could save $48 a month.
Use mapquest new gas finder feature to save money.
5) Cheap seats guaranteed. You could save another $50.
If you get a airline ticket, and the price drops you can find out the information on this website, and save money.
Read the article, and get website information at Today Show.

(Betsy walked into Linda's office with several office memos tucked under her arm.) You know I don't like a lot of office memos. I asked you not to send so many, but you did. I have EVIDENCE! (She yelled as she slammed the memos down on her coworkers desk).
(Linda looked stunned. It was obvious she didn't see this coming. She knew that Betsy had a problem with the volume of memo's, and thought that she had cut back on them to Betsy's satisfaction.)
(Betsy unloaded on Linda. Pointing to the office memos) Look! This is from 1/20, 1/19, 1/15, 1/14 etc. EVIDENCE! You are being disrespectful to me!
(Linda thumbed though the office memos with a bewildered look on her face. She never expected this outburst of anger. And Betsy had said nothing since Linda cut down on the memo's to her. Linda thought that things were fine between them.)
Just a moment Betsy. (Linda said, as she sifted though the responses to the office memos that Betsy sent to her.)
Ah, here it is. Here is your letter that you sent to me requesting that I cut down on office memos to you. Your letter states that I should send you office memos "once or twice a week, or less frequently." Later, you sent me a reminder letter that was very vague. It states. Send me memos "sometimes, off and on". I know that I cut down, (Linda explained.) I didn't actually count the memos at the time, (Linda picked up, and looked at the memos), but it looks like on average it was twice a week. I thought I was doing well in that area for you. You are the only one here that has a problem with my memos, but I cut down on the ones that I send to you, at your request. I have several people that I send memos to on a more frequent basis, they seem to enjoy them. I get a good response. Besides that, I have keep the memos to you shorter, and of a less personal nature. Keeping things light.
You see Betsy, I enjoy sending office memos to people, like you enjoy Blogging. Plus it is my main means of communication, but I cut down at your request. I thought that I was doing rather well, and was surprised to see you so angry when you entered my office. In the month that I cut down on office memos, you gave no indication whatsoever that you had a problem with my memos. This came out of the blue. I feel that I have bent backward to meet your request, but you did not appreciate my effort.

I recently deleted a post entitled, "An Immature Response". It was deleted from my blog, however, it is still on my RSS reader. I contacted RSS, and left them an e-mail concerning it. Hopefully they will tell me how to delete it from the reader. Live and learn.
I believe that I have figured out how to circumvent this problem in the future. Next time I want to delete a post, I will change the content first. First I would erase everything. Then I would key in "This post has been deleted", or something similar. Then I would wait until I saw the change in my RSS reader, (takes hours sometimes), THEN delete it.
Blogging is certainly a craft to be learned. And so much to learn! Networking in itself is an art of it's own. Also I am in the process of finding blogs to add to my blogroll. I have found a few, and should be adding them soon, but it's taking much more time then I thought it would.
I signed up for "Google Alerts" about 2 weeks ago, but have not received anything yet by e-mail. I signed up a second time listing more categories, but still nothing. So I go to Google Alerts, and do it manually. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Hopefully I will figure that out soon.
