Wordless Wednesday - Water Lily

"The Water Lily is a symbol of dignity and nobility, since the lotus can appear beautiful and clean even while growing in the mud. This is a dedication to the achievements of courageous people who can keep their good qualities, even in the mud of difficulty."

Babs (Beetle),

Amen! I'm still working on it. ;o)

Hi Liquid,

It is taken from a song, but it's "The Lotus Fairy" by Grace Chang. If you go to the bottom of the post, and click on "words" it will take you to a sample of the music. My old computer won't allow me to hear it, but I thought that the Lyrics were beautiful.

I do agree: Beautiful. Often seen at Norwegian smaller lakes.

Hi RennyBA,

Renny it's good to see you again! Sounds like you know the beauty first hand. ;o)

Hi Drowsey Monkey,

Ah, you noticed Ernie & Bert! As a lesbian I support gay marriage. I wanted to make a statement, but didn't want it to upset my more conservative friends. I hope that I've struck the right balance.

Just poppin' in to wish you a wondrous day and weekend to follow!

Hi Dragonfly,

What!? Me tagged!? I'll be over soon. ;o)

Awake In Rochester said...

Hi Hahn at Home,

Protest? What protest? Maybe you have a post about it?

I have a very old, slow, corky computer. I call her my old lady. In people years she's about 102 years old. The old gal sill works hard for me. ;o) I'm also using Dial up because is inexpensive. It can take 10 - 15 minutes to load some blogs. At any rate it takes awhile to visit all the blogs. So I haven't seen your post yet, if you have one. I'll be over to check it out. ;o)

i live in albuquerque new mexico and my locla botanic garden has a small lotus pond. i always lvoed how those looked and how something so beautiful can grow out from something like mud. people see mud and think dirty, useless, inconvenient for my prada shoes, but there are those others who see passed the veil and marvel and the beauty that God sends to us. I guess you can say lotus flowers are almost like a parable huh?

Hi Anonymous,

Yes, like a parable.

Sometimes I wonder how some people can look at the beauty of nature, and not believe in the maker.
