Oh, President Bush! One Last Thing....

Oh, President Bush! One last thing before you leave office. Did you ever answer Pink? Because many of her questions are mine too. And I've been really wondering....

Dear Mr. President by Pink

Dear Mr. President
Come take a walk with me
Let's pretend we're just two people and
You're not better than me
I'd like to ask you some questions if we can speak honestly

What do you feel when you see all the homeless on the street
Who do you pray for at night before you go to sleep
What do you feel when you look in the mirror
Are you proud

How do you sleep while the rest of us cry
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye
How do you walk with your head held high
Can you even look me in the eye
And tell me why

Dear Mr. President
Were you a lonely boy
Are you a lonely boy
Are you a lonely boy
Are you a lonely boy
How can you say
No child is left behind
We're not dumb and we're not blind
They're all sitting in your cells
While you pave the road to hell

What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away
And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay
I can only imagine what the first lady has to say
You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine

How do you sleep while the rest of us cry
How do you dream when a mother has no chance to say goodbye
How do you walk with your head held high
Can you even look me in the eye

Let me tell you bout hard work
Minimum wage with a baby on the way
Let me tell you bout hard work
Rebuilding your house after the bombs took them away
Let me tell you bout hard work
Building a bed out of a cardboard box
Let me tell you bout hard work
Hard work
Hard work
You don't know nothin bout hard work
Hard work
Hard work
Ohhh

How do you sleep at night
How do you walk with your head held high
Dear Mr. President
You'd never take a walk with me
would u

Hi Mike Golch,

You mean us little people? ;) I think that Bush lived in a bubble.

I'm afraid this is the way I feel about all politicians.

Hi Giggle Pixie,

Well, I think that Obama will do a good job. He couldn't be any worse. lol

I agree with Giggles, as all politicians must put up or shut us.

Pink is very wise for a young woman blowing in the wind ... I love her song Misery too!

Hi Amias,

Yes, that's true. Yet my hopes are high.

Misery? I don't think that I know that song. I will have to play it. ;)

i would prefer if Dubya just kinda went away.... i wouldn't want him to linger too long answering Pink's questions....

or maybe he could just email them to one of his friends....

Hi Ghost Dansing,

I wish he had to give his answers in court. We Impeached a Pres. for lying about being unfaithful. Yet, Bush & Cheney get away with murder. What's wrong with this picture? I don't mean to offend anyone, but that's how I feel.

very good point, actually....

Hi Lilly's Life,

Oh dear oh dear... I best not comment. But if I were foolish enough to wade into this verbal sea and state that I thought history would remember Geore Bush as a brave and honorable president, would you guys hunt me down and call me names? :)It is possible to be an intelligent, open minded, non-homophobic, independant woman and still see good in "W".

Hi twofinches,

What's your address? te he

You know me. We meant over political controversy on this blog. We were respectful of each other even though we disagreed. I like people to speak their minds as long as they are kind, considerate, & respectful of each other. And you are. So you have every right to voice your opinion... even when your completely wrong. ;)

I agree. Bush is who he is, but everything is not his fault. I blame the entire corrupted government and both corrupted political parties--and the people who blindly support them. Bush has small scope, is philosophically inept, but he believes he did the right thing(s) even though he was wrong about 95% of them. Goodbye and good riddance.

On the other hand, we now have Obama and I wish him luck; however, he hasn't done anything and will receive no credit from me until he accomplishes what he's set out to do--getting the job is the 1st step on an endless staircase.

What people fail to realize is that the American government is not owned by America. It is owned by several foreign banks--the people who are really in charge. Until the Federal Reserve is abolished, no president will really change anything. I am anti-war and he can do something bout that. Me...I consider all humans equal regardless of race, religion, sexual preference and so forth. Perhaps Obama is the spark that will make Americans vote in the right person from now on--it will take more than one president--it may take several good ones in succession to spawn real change:)
